In an interview with the Higher Education Works Foundation, Chancellor Carol Folt says that what sets UNC-Chapel Hill apart is its ability to keep its doors open to all qualified students, regardless of their backgrounds.
“I think that’s not only important; I think it is part of our DNA,” Folt says in the accompanying video.
“Part of our ability to do that has been the very strong support from the state — the dollars that we get — and this aggressive determination to keep these universities strong. I think that has made our universities the envy of America. And it is soimportant that we continue to do that.”
